Political Awareness of Santri Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhsan Purwokerto as Beginner Voter: Case Study of Political Communication Toward Local Election 2018 Banyumas Regency at Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhsan Beji – Purwokerto

The title of this research is “Political Awareness of Santri Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhsan Purwokerto as Beginner Voter, Case Study of Political Communication Toward Local Election 2018 Banyumas Regency at Pondok Pesantren Ikhsan Beji – Purwokerto. Aim of this research is to explain and understand the political awareness beginner voter santri pondok pesantren Al Ikhsan. Methodology that being used is qualitative method, with descriptive approach and research design of study case. Technique to choose informant using purposive sampling. Research data being got from deeper interview, observation, and documentation. The result shows that political literacy of santri pondok pesantren Al Ikhsan is very good. It relates with school circumstances, surrounding, pondok pesantren circumstances, and from the organizer of pesantren. Information access that being received exclude their peer group or their surroundings, especially from social media usage include internet
